Anne Glowinski, MD, MPE, spoke at the NYU Langone Child Study Center's Grand Rounds on Sept. 30, 2011. Her talk was entitled "Global Perspectives on Child Mental Health." Millions of children around the world with diagnosable mental health disorders never receive the care and treatment they need, sometimes with devastating consequences for their ability to lead productive lives. Here, Dr. Glowinski talks about the most pervasive obstacles to children getting the mental health care they need. Dr. Glowinski is director of child and adolescent psychiatry education and training and associate professor at Washington University School of Medicine.
