Описание: Just in time for Chanukah, this week we introduce Yehudah Hamacabi, the mighty and humble general who was instrumental in the Chanukah Story. Join us as we craft a Yehudah Hamacabi Shield.

Yehudah Hamacabi who we all know as the brave Jewish leader that rallied his brothers to stand against the Greek soldiers in Eretz Yisrael. As the son of Matisyahu the Kohen Gadol, he took up the mantle of leadership, after a Greek officer disrespected the Beis Hamikdash. Yehudah and his brothers embodied incredible strength and speed, famously described by a Greek general as "stronger than lions and faster than eagles." Their true strength, however, stemmed from davening and having Bitachon in Hashem. Yehudah's father likened him to Yehudah from the 12 Shvatim, declaring him as mighty as a lion. Leading the Macabis, Yehudah achieved many victories, though he ultimately fell in battle. His brothers, while heartbroken, were inspired by their father’s call to persevere. Their courage and faith paved the way for victory and the celebration of Yom Tov Chanukah.
Yehudah Hamacabi is renowned for his shield, inscribed with "Macabi," which stands for "Mi Kamocha Bailim Hashem," meaning "Who is for Hashem, come with me." Together, we will craft a stunning shield to grace your Chanukah table. The foam block we’re using allows us to create dimension with the tissue paper, to design a remarkable masterpiece. Let us embrace the bravery of Yehudah Hamaccabi with Jewish Pride.
