Lunar Eclipse 2026: Partial Visibility in India | Nehru Planetarium Explains

Описание: On March 3, 2026, a lunar eclipse will occur following the recent solar eclipse visible across Antarctica, Australia, and parts of South America. According to Rishabh Jain, Senior Science Educator at Nehru Planetarium, Delhi, the penumbral phase of the eclipse will begin around 2:15 PM, with peak visibility near 6:30 PM in Delhi.

Since peak eclipse timing coincides with sunset and moonrise in Delhi, observation from the city will be challenging. However, partial visibility is possible from northeastern Indian cities like Guwahati, Arunachal Pradesh, Aizawl, and Mizoram, where earlier sunsets and higher elevations improve viewing.
