KEB Combinorm Power-On Brakes operate opposite to traditional failsafe brakes—they engage when electrical power is applied and release when power is removed. This design allows the shaft to rotate freely in the unpowered state.
How They Work:
Power OFF: Brake is disengaged, shaft rotates freely
Power ON: Electrical current engages the brake, stopping or holding the load
