Time to push this build and see what she's got! No holding back! Modified TWIG MUTANT 4-inch racer with BETAFPV 35A "toothpick" FC. Details below...
My frame is a modified version of the TWIG MUTANT 4-inch frame. My version is stretch-x and the carbon is a little thicker than usual. Racing is the whole focus of this build, but for now I'm just going to rip some freestyle and see how it handles. You can't buy this exact frame, but don't worry, Racer X FPV has cool new stuff coming!
BETAFPV also just released the official TWIG MUTANT Bind-n-Fly. It's not exactly like my build, but it has a lot of similarities. It's an option for people who want to skip the building. Details here: http://bit.ly/twig-mutant-4-bnf
My Current Build:
TWIG MUTANT 4" frame & canopy (Mine is a new prototype, but you can get the original here: http://bit.ly/3cQeVY5)
BETAFPV 35A 2-6S F4 AIO FC (http://bit.ly/35A-AIO-FC-BLHeli_32)
Running DSHOT600 on BLHeli_32 with 48kHz PWM rate (yes it helps larger quads too)
16AWG power lead with XT30 (http://bit.ly/2Q7AlGA)
330uF 35V capacitor (attached directly to VBAT inside the canopy)
EMAX 1606 3300KV motors (http://bit.ly/2W7EnT8)
Gemfan 4032 3-blade props (http://bit.ly/2xtxeSN)
Caddx Baby Ratel camera (http://bit.ly/2vdfcDy)
Eachine Nano VTX (http://bit.ly/3aJgnJW)
Tattu R-Line 850mAh 4S battery with XT30 (http://bit.ly/2IRwJ7L)
Betaflight 3.5.7 stock tune (It's probably possible to get it flying OK on 4.1 but it certainly isn't easy. I tried tuning 4.1 for like an hour and it was still flying badly. I switched back to 3.5.7 and it was smooth and clean right off the bat).
