President Trump has tonight said the US is continuing its war against Iran with "large-scale combat operations" aimed at eliminating all threats from the regime.
Speaking at the White House, the President said Tehran had ignored warnings from America, and was still pursuing nuclear weapons.
It came as the conflict widened further across the region with the UK now also drawn into the war.
