For ages, I found the vector based pen tool in ChemDraw too tedious to use. Now I have cracked it, and perhaps updates have made it easier. This video shows a simple procedure, an exercise for creating a quiver of arrows, and how to make default ChemDraw stationary which includes them.
This site is not funded, but if anyone wants to help they could by purchasing a book using the affiliate links below, or buying my workbooks for Sophomore Organic Chemistry By Inquisition (details below). I also have a workbook on advanced organic reactions designed for graduate students and advanced graduate students for sale (www.byinquisition.org).
If anyone lecturing sophomore organic chemistry in the US or Canada is interested in adopting my books for a class, I will happily send you complementary copies, just drop me a line: [email protected] stating your position and when you will be teaching the class.

My workbooks ‘Sophomore Organic Chemistry By Inquisition 1 and 2 are designed to test understanding of facts and concepts, but most of all to provide a lot of unfamiliar problems. These books are for students to use for practicing applications, and for professors to use in flipped teaching.
I use these books to semi-flip my classes. I outline concepts, try ~30% of the problems, then the students complete the rest in their own time: one chapter per lecture. The following lecture involves a quiz featuring material from anywhere in the chapter covered before (encourages active recall). My exams and final look very like any of these problems.
The workbooks are available from Amazon, and from:
