Speaker Biography:
John A. Clements graduated from Weill Cornell Medical College in 1947. In 1949, he began service at the Medical Laboratories of the Army Chemical Center in Maryland, where he supervised Army-contracted research on lung physiology. Clements joined the faculty of the UCSF Cardiovascular Research Institute in 1959 and became emeritus faculty there in 2004.
