After watching Sword Art Online and making my first anime music video tribute to SAO, I wanted to do something different. All of my videos had been either action-oriented, drama-oriented, or tragedy-oriented. For the first time, I wanted to make a music video dedicated to romance (and yes, the SAO one was intended to be romantic, but also action-style).

To say that Gargantia changed my life in the Fall of 2013 would be an understatement. At the time that I watched it, I was going through some really hard times – this ended up lifting me up and helping me get back on track. I absolutely loved the themes of redemption, selflessness, nobility, honor, and service expressed in Gargantia, and the love story between Ledo and Amy was adorably innocent and pure. As such, I decided to pull in one of my favorite songs of all time - Love Song Requiem.

This music video, honestly, was the hardest one I've ever made. Finding the exact clips to tell a moving and impactful story of love was incredibly difficult for me, and while I made about 60% of the video in one go, I ended up putting it on hold for an entire college semester because I couldn't figure out the other 40%. When I finally graduated from college, I had more free time, and so I decided to grit my teeth and finish it.

In the end, of all the AMVs I've made, this is probably the one I'm most proud of, so I really hope you enjoy it! Ledo and Amy's story impacted my life in an immensely positive way when I was hopelessly depressed, and so I hope their story similarly inspires you. :)
