Описание: Welcome welcome! In this video I will be trying to answer the question, can I find beauty in an unlikely place?
Spoilers, yes, I think I can.

Not sure the exact species but it's very soft and lightweight, most likely pine. I will be using a woodturning lathe to create a vase / hollow form. The outside textured with a wire brush in a drill which quickly wears away the softer parts between the grain lines leaving a nice ridged texture. The burning was just for fun!

Shaped with a 1/2" spindle roughing gouge, a 3/8" bowl gouge and a 1/4" parting / beading tool. Hollowed out using a 29mm Forstner bit followed by a swan neck, 8mm round carbide tool.

Charred with a Dremel Versatip then a coat of danish oil applied before parting off.

My makers mark was burnt in extra deep before charring the foot too.
In a way, this worked but not quite as well as I had hoped but still visible.
