Nearly my entire family shows up for the day we demolish my grandparents homestead with mini-excavators. It was a bittersweet end to the house that we called home for my family on Dad's side. Even though Grandma and Grandpa have been gone awhile and my cousin has built a new house on the original farm homestead, it was still difficult to tear down the house that my father was raised in. All in all it was a good day of family and memories despite being sad to see an end to an era.
We used a Vovlo EC55B Mini excavator and a Bobcat E55 for a majority of the demolition work, but we also had a John Deere 310SE backhoe doing some digging. There were a few others too like the Cat D3C dozer and Bobcat T190 track machine. The F750 dump truck got to do some dirt hauling as well. It was a great project despite being somewhat of a sad day.
