The presentation is undertaken within the framework of "BIOMASS DAY 2026" annual event organized by the Hellenic Biomass Association (HellaBiom), Greece on February 28th, 2026 within the 8th Verde.tec Expo in ΜEC Exhibition Center at Paiania, Attica, Greece.

BIOMASS DAY 2026 main theme highlights municipal and forest biomass, underlying contemporary challenges and multi-level solutions. Good practice case studies and projects under deployment from Greece and beyond are presented and discussions among policy makers, members of municipalities, company executives, scientists and practitioners demonstrate how untapped biomass resources sustainably managed can turn into a multiplier of public value in so many different fields, such as: renewable energy, reduction of energy costs, circular economy, climate resilience, strengthening of civil protection, support of local communities, conservation of biodiversity.
