I talk in slow Chinese about this super popular TV drama from 2001 that had a huge impact on the youth culture in China for the last two decades.
I enjoy bringing bite sized cultural information to you so you can get to know China while learning the language, this is what I call a baseline cultural reference one must try to know a bit about.
When I started watching, for example, The Simpsons, even when the language seems simple enough, there is still loads of references they make and I have no clue about, hehe I still do, 20 years later.
