In this Episode we experience one of the famous icons of Australia... 90 MILE STRAIGHT.... but first after leaving Esperance we pop into NORSEMAN.
I liked Norseman. You know when you drive into a town and you get a good feeling about it ( even though there is nothing really there ) .
Ofcourse we had to pop into the local cafe for a coffee and suss out the cake fridge which was pretty good. We did refrain... ha ha...
NORSEMAN is the turn off to the NULLARBOR.
We pass the BALLADONIA for a quick fuel stop and some lunch.
It is one of the many fuel stops along the way, and it also has a caravan park if you wish to stay overnight....
We were on planning on staying here but the weather was quite hot so there is no better place to be than in the car with the aircon on...
Just down the road is the 90 MILE STRAIGHT.
We have been wanting to do this part of the road for sometime and it was our turn.
We pulled up to the iconic sign, and wow, you should see all of the stickers on it.
I believe it only got cleaned off a couple of months ago....
How did we find the straight??? Well I thought it was pretty good. I don't know if it was just me but it felt like there was a very slight incline the whole way....maybe it was just me......
We didn`t plan on completing the 90 Mile straight all at one but it just ended up that way.
We cross into the border into SOUTH AUSTRALIA....
Back in our home state. Girls were quite excited...
We show you the footage crossing the border.
BUNDA CLIFFS was our camp for the night......
What can I say except WOW. The scenery along is amazing. Let me tell you I was a bit nervous sending the drone over the edge, but it was ok.
I would love to do a count on the ocean floor on many drones are down there.....lol
We didn't camp to close to the edge like some people just incase that crack in the ground decided to give way.
I put the drone up at sunset and the colours were just amazing...
We hit the STREAKY BAY AREA...
We stayed at a low cost camp just behind the township which was pretty good. You have to be self-sufficient and it was quite cheap.
We decided to do the coastal drive.
I must say it wasn't the best weather to be doing it, but it turned out to be bloody amazing with the crashing of the waves.
The girls got a bit cold but the scenery was so spectacular.
We take you along with us so you can see for yourself.....
MUPHYS HAYSTACK is a rock formation caused by millions of years of erosion. I personally think this is a must see of you are travelling on the Eyre Peninsula. It is not far off the highway and you can drag your van or camper there to view.
As tori would say " thanks for watching peoples " and we hope you enjoy this episode.
Next one we keep on following the coast until we reach Port Lincoln National Park where we have quite a few days of R&R. We do go exploring though and get a line wet aswell
We will see you on the next one....
ENJOY......STAY SAFE PEOPLES.....👍
