Last week, during a small trip I took, I decided to head over to Avalon Station to filmed the soon to be discontinued segment (as of tomorrow, December 19) of Metro’s Line 53 due to NextGen, which will change its routing from serving Avalon Station to serving the recently upgraded Willowbrook/Rosa Parks station where two of Metro’s rail lines, the A (Blue) & C (Green) Lines, connect. I was hoping to start the video at Avalon Station where the 53’s short line also had its layover at the time, but due to construction I had to walk to the nearest stop at Avalon & Imperial Highway. From there, I rode 1923, one of Metro’s newest ENC Axess BRTs delivered earlier this year, from Imperial to Manchester Blvd. Also, please note that there was a person in the back playing some music out loud while on board the bus, so apologies for that!
