Welcome to our comprehensive tutorial on Software-Defined Networking (SDN) where we focus on designing and implementing an adaptive load balancing and traffic engineering application using the RYU OpenFlow controller.
Background:
Software-Defined Networking (SDN) is a revolutionary architecture that separates the control and data planes of network devices. In this architecture, the Application Layer hosts applications developed by vendors or third parties. These applications communicate with the SDN Controller in the Control Layer via Northbound interface APIs. The SDN Controller, in turn, exchanges data with network devices in the Infrastructure Layer using the Southbound interface. While OpenFlow is a popular protocol for this interface, there are several others that can be utilized.
Join us in this in-depth tutorial to enhance your understanding of SDN and learn how to implement an effective adaptive load balancing and traffic engineering application using the RYU OpenFlow controller.
