IKAROS AWAKENS is a cinematic and emotionally-driven fictional music band that blends the mythological symbolism of the mental and physical rise and fall of the human condition, metaphorically represented by the mythical character Icarus. With the raw, modern sounds of post-apocalyptic symphonic gothic metal/rock, electronic beats and melodic sounds, our musical lyrics/melodies and visual depictions transports the listener on an immersive journey where the ruins of a broken world, echoing stories of loss, redemption, and the eternal search for hope become key to an emotional, mental, and physical transformation. Our hope is that our lyrics, melodies, rhythms, and visuals depictions become a powerful heartfelt experiential emotional journey guided by elements in our songs and music videos that would be able to captivate and engage our audience through a wide range of emotions and self revelations which can in turn lead to positive "upward spirals" of the psyche, that will assist to an enhanced ability to broadened manners of thinking, strengthen coping skills, and positively support overall mental/emotional well-being.
