How to build Pallet Walls and Secret Door | DIY

Описание: Do you dream of a wooden wall but do not have the budget for it?! Use your time to scavenge for pallets and build the wall of your dreams. Using pallets for building is easy and it gives you a very rough and cool look. While you are at it, you can build a secret door, wall hanged HiFi rack etc. Your imagination is your friend.

How to build Pallet Walls and Secret Door

Building the secret door:
Where the hinges are(left side) you need to cut 45 degree angles on both the wood on the door and the "wallwood". This way the door will open about 90 degrees.. If you need more than that go 60/60 = 120..
On the right side of the door make the wood overlap like you see in the thumbnail
If the boards loosen you can use a screw to fasten it
I took the doorknob off and used a magnet to make it stay closed. We open the door by grabbing the planks with the fingertips and pull it out. Serves as a kids safety device.
