2016 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray UNBOXING Review - America's Sports Car Takes On The World

Описание: The subject of our latest unboxing review needs little to no introduction. The 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, also called the C7, is the seventh-generation of America's favorite high-performance sports car. In the past critics (and there've been many) have mockingly called the Corvette the "Plastic Fantastic" due to its excessive use of plastic body panels and its cheap-ish interior. Well, that cheap interior is a thing of the past and, yes, those lightweight body panels are still in use but that's a good thing. Remember, weight is the enemy of performance. The C7 Stingray is officially a world-class sports car and is not only wicked fast and powerful, but it handles with the best from Germany.

Power comes from a 6.2-liter small-block V8 with 455 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through either a standard seven-speed manual or optional eight-speed automatic with paddle shifters. Our tester, equipped with the eight-speed, also came with the $9,745 3LT Package, as well as the $995 Carbon Fiber Interior Package and the $3,495 Magnetic Ride Control. The exterior design may be a bit polarizing for some but we happen to dig it, and think it's aging well. But is the Corvette Stingray still a competitor to, say, the Porsche 911?
