ADL Demonstrator ADL Enviro 400 MMC (ZF) YX19ONU

Описание: Filmed here operating for Ridley’s Coaches, this bus was new as a top of the range demonstrator in 2019, initially in a sleek blue and grey livery. Some of the quirky features include roof skylights, tables with wireless charging, seat-back USB charging and tinted windows. YX19ONU became the promotional BooBee bus later in 2019, outshopped in the eye catching pink livery, raising awareness for Prevent Breast Cancer.

Inside the bus are various vinyls which aim to provide guidance to women on preventing the disease, which has seen it go on many tours, particularly around Manchester where the main sponsor is based.

During its time as a demonstrator vehicle, and as BooBee, it has served with many operators including the following: Arriva Yorkshire, Atlantic Coaches, BorderBus, Go North East, Ipswich Buses, Lynx Bus, McGills, Reliance Motors, Transdev Rosso, Travelmasters and Stagecoach Midlands. Many operators have gone onto buy new high specification E400MMCs like this one in recent times, particularly for coach style use. Like most ZF examples, this has some very audible axles, and was a pleasure to ride on.

It had been on loan for Ridley’s Coaches for many weeks, whilst one of their pair was away having repairs, and became commonplace on Rail Replacement for WMR. These had been operating between Nuneaton, Coventry and Leamington to cover for long term shortage of train crew due to the pandemic, with many other operators to be seen on a daily basis.
