Thunberg’s remarks came one day after the French government’s decision to dissolve the climate activist network Earth Uprisings (‘Les Soulevements de la Terre’), citing the group’s alleged instances of armed and violent protests. 14 members of the group were also taken into custody this week over a December 2022 incident of direct action targeting a major cement manufacturer, per BFMTV.
