Описание: The French Char B1 Bis is perhaps one of the most legendary tanks, that was used during the early years of World War Two. With most Char B1 Bis tanks seeing combat during the 1940 Battle of France. Against the German Invasion of the nation. However, after the Fall of France in late June of 1940. Resulted in the surviving Char B1 Bis tanks being commandeered by the Germans, after France had surrendered.

In German service the Char B1 tanks were pressed into service as second line and training vehicles. With some being converted into flamethrower tanks. Which were used by the Germans during the 1941 invasion of the Soviet Union. The type was also used by the Germans during the Balkans campaign. And in the German occupation of the Channel Islands.

However, in the wake of the Normandy invasion in June 1944. Numerous German Char B1 tanks were captured by the French Resistance. And were in turn used against the German Occupiers. Resulting the operational Char B1 Bis tanks being used by the Free French Forces until the end of the Second World War.

THE KIT

The Warlord Games & Italeri 1:56 scale (28mm) is a nice and easy kit to make. Which you can make into a French version or a German version. Including the German Flamethrower version of the French behemoth. In this build video of this kit, you will see me make the kit into a French Char B1 used during the Battle of France.

I also made a small diorama for it. Where I scratch built a 1/56 scale a very unusual concrete power poll out of styrene. And made the base out of Expanded Polystyrene Foam. Cut using my brand-new hand-held hot foam cutter.
