2002年、〈chisa〉代表・小瀧千佐子は、ムラーノガラス（ヴェネチアンガラス）のマエストロ、アンドレア・ジィリオ氏を日本に招き、鎌倉・円覚寺にて展覧会を開催しました。
その際、日本でガラスを学ぶ方々に貴重な学びの機会を提供したいとの思いから、当時存在していた東京国際ガラス学院（2009年3月31日閉校）にて、ジィリオ氏のデモンストレーションを企画しました。

本映像は、当時小瀧が運営していたショップ「サンマルコ」によって記録・制作されたものです。
不慣れな日本の環境においても、マエストロ・ジィリオの卓越した技が存分に発揮された貴重な記録映像となっております。

In 2002, Chisako Kotaki, founder of chisa, invited Murano (Venetian) glass maestro Andrea Zilio to Japan and held an exhibition at Engakuji Temple in Kamakura.
With the hope of providing a valuable learning opportunity for aspiring glass artists in Japan, she also arranged a special demonstration by Maestro Zilio at the Tokyo International Glass Academy (which closed on March 31, 2009).

This footage was recorded and produced by San Marco, the shop Ms. Kotaki operated at the time.
Despite working in an unfamiliar studio environment, Maestro Zilio’s exceptional craftsmanship shines through in this rare documentation.
