This is the World Cup semi-final between New Zealand and Great Britain from Christchurch, on July 17, 1988. Great Britain were fresh off a stunning defeat of Australia at Sydney, collecting the World Cup points in the process, and were confident of overwhelming the Kiwis at a sodden Addington Showgrounds. The Kiwis needed to win to secure a World Cup Final berth against Australia, and welcomed back veteran Mark Graham to help make that happen.
