Basic Need Model

Описание: This lecture talks about the Basic Need Model of Development. This model came after the failure of the Dominant Paradigm and other models like the Inter Dependent Model and Dependency Model. This model was brought up by the International Labour Organization when it was found that development goals were not achieved following the Dominant Paradigm of Development. This idea came into forefront when in 1940s Albert Maslow gave hierarchy of basic need. In India also Planning Commission came up the idea fo fulfilling minium requirement of poor class.
