We start with California law on ice as this Bloomberg Newsletter Cyber Bulletin reports that a federal judge blocked a

California law that would have banned spreading digitally fabricated videos that included false content about politicians running for office.

Congratulations to Orange County-based Ingram Micro went public again following a three year stint with Private Equity. Now on the new York Stock Exchange, symbol INGM.

No offense, but it sounds like they got that wrong.

As a former sales director there, I launched their internet reseller division a millennium ago. When I first started for them, the guy said son: “You don’t work for Ingram Micro, you work for the state of Tennessee.”

It’s not a small name - and covers many industries. And the disintermediation pendulum swings both ways.
