I had the privilege of helping spawn chinook salmon in the fall of 2019 at the Wallace River Hatchery in Sultan, WA. I was part of the crew that caught the chinook out of the ponds to go be spawned. These are a few clips from that process as well as a clip of extracting the otoliths for research. Scale and fin samples were also taken. It was a super cool experience!
