Jammu and Kashmir witnessed a major boost to infrastructure development as Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh today inaugurated 23 road and bridge projects completed under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). The projects aim to strengthen road connectivity in several parts of the Jammu division, improving access to remote and hilly areas.
In addition to inaugurating completed projects, the Union Minister also laid foundation stones for new road and bridge works in Udhampur, Kishtwar, Doda, Kathua, and Ramban districts. These initiatives are expected to enhance regional connectivity, support economic activity, and improve access to essential services for local communities.
The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary, along with MLAs including Pyare Lal Sharma, R S Pathania, Balwant Singh Mankotia, and Dr Rameshwar, among others. Leaders highlighted the importance of quality infrastructure in accelerating development and ensuring inclusive growth across Jammu and Kashmir.
