► What you need to pay attention to when choosing a motor for a race whoop:
(for FULL SEND RACING)

● Motor size → I prefer 702 for 65mm, 802/1002 for 75mm, 1102 for 80mm (75pro) and 1103 for 85mm 2S
● Motor height → depending on whoop frame and propeller combo
● Power and torque → For me I prefer highest power and torque which is only possible with high kv motors
● Internal resistance → I prefer lowest possible
● Motor shaft material → Not too hard and not too soft (balance between hard and soft)
● Motor shaft diameter → I prefer short 1,5mm shafts if possible. 1mm in rip quality is also ok.
● Bearings → I prefer double ball bearings in high quality (important!), except for 65mm whoops, where bushings are also ok because of the lower weight.
● Curved or flat magnets → I don`t care too much. Curved if possible.
● Weight → I prefer lowest weight if possible
● Motor cable length → I prefer longer motor cables if available (not too tight fitting)
● Designe → I prefer simple lightweight designe with only 3 thin struts
● Motor cable mount → I prefer a small lightweight PCB board

► Motor screws:
● Reny (lightest) or PEEK in M1.4mm x 3.0/3.5/4.0mm for 65mm Whoops
● Titanium in in M1.4mm x 3.0/3.5/4.0mm for 75mm and 80mm (75pro) Whoops
● Reny M1.6mm x ?mm for 85mm Whoops with 1103 Motors

⚠️‼️⚠️ My secrets for flying well with high kv motors:
● BT2.0/A30 Main plug
● AWG20 Main cable
● No motorplugs (directly soldered cables to the pads on the flightcontroller)
● ESC settings tailored to the motor (e.g. Bluejay 96khz and motor timing low or medium for 802 27000kv)
● Low pitch propellers (watch my video about propellers)
● Using betaflight settings for better throttle control (Throttle MID, Throttle Expo, Throttle Cut Scale)
● Using the best lipos on the market with the highest C-Rate (lowest internal resistance)

⚠️‼️⚠️ There are quite big differences in motor quality. For me, only rcinpower has the best overall quality so far to this date (23.5.24)

⚠️‼️⚠️ With rcinpower motors it is important to secure the motor cables with a rubbery glue on the PCB on the motor (I use uhu por glue)! As well as attaching the motor cables to the struts of the whoop frame with dental floss so that they cannot move too much.

⚠️‼️⚠️ My experience has shown that every race drone has an area in which it is most efficient (watch Chris Rosser's videos) Normally this is around 80% throttle. That's why you should choose the kv so that you never have to give 100% throttle in order to be as efficient as possible. That's why I like to fly with engines that have a little too much kv. When racing, I move most of the time in 0-80% of the motor`s throttle range.

⚠️‼️⚠️ Flight times: Of course, flight times vary greatly depending on how fast you are flying.
The flight times on my for racing perfected whoops are all about the same. About two to two and a half minutes at full send racing. And up to 5 minutes when cruising.

❓❓❓Why rip 802 27k AND rip 1002 22k Size for 75mm Race Whoops?
● Rip 802 27k for 10A or 12A ESC`s/flightcontroller (it`s a must for full send racing) and tracks with many narrow slaloms and changes of direction where it is important that the outside of the whoop is less weight or the center of gravity is more compact. And for frames where only 802 motors fit through the frame so that you can solder the motors on the flightcontroller before mounting the electronics into the frame.
● Rip 1002 22k if you only have 5A/6A ESC`s/flightcontrollers available. Or simply because you like the smooth power of bigger motors.

⚠️‼️⚠️ My experience and all my knowledge about whoop motors for racing correlates perfectly with the scientifically developed knowledge that Chris Rosser has. Please watch his videos about motors.
