This is the first video in our van build series, where we start turning our van into our home while we renovate our very derelict cottage in rural Ireland.
In this episode, we’re sharing the early stages of the build and some of the first big jobs we’ve tackled, including:
Building a compost toilet
Installing the bed brackets
Fitting the sink
Navigating van electrics
Installing the water heater
Painting the first coat
This van will be our full-time home during the renovation, so this is very much a learning-as-we-go project. There are mistakes, changes of plan, and plenty of chaos along the way — and yes, a few bloopers too.
