The Briwax Guy puts a Mid-Brown (formerly Dark Oak) Briwax finish on a coffee table made from reclaimed oak that has suffered some water damage. The water stains and steel marks are removed with a mild Oxalic Acid solution. The steps are as follows;
1. Wash the entire piece down with soap and water.
2. Let dry for a couple of days.
3. Sand with #150 Grit sandpaper.
4. Brush with Oxalic Acid.
5. When dry, lightly sand with #150 grit sandpaper to knock the grain
back down.
6. Wax with Mid-Brown Briwax.
7. Apply a second coat of wax.
8. Buff vigorously with a clean cloth.
