The continuing adventures in the Valheim world we've have been running since Hearth and Home was released. All vanilla, no mods, survivor mode.
Call to Arms has officially been released. These sessions were recorded during patch 0.221.4.
I've got a pretty good grove going here without any events around town... so I'm processing ore from the Mistlands, then making more screen walls of copper and iron, then getting more metals while killing any gjall in my way.
It is a pretty good cycle. I had to break it to go to the Ashlands for vineberries, and then spent some time planting around town. Hopefully that will make harvesting a bit easier when I run out since I'll have multiple sources. Plus they look really nice on the buildings, I'll have to add more.
At the tower, more grausten details are added to help frame the screen walls. I'm also adding a balcony to the second level and I'll have to decide how far to wrap it around.
Back in the Mistlands, I'm mining as much ancient metal around the Clearing as I can. Gjall are a consent threat and I've had to get rid of a few of them. The fire damage from them always hits so hard because of my feather cape, so I try to take them out at a distance if I can.
After collecting a lot of iron, I finally had enough to make the Skull Splittur. I haven't used any of the two-handed weapons in Valheim much, or really any other game. I like to be faster and more mobile generally and have always struggle with heavier weapons and movement sets. But I've got to say that I'm really like Skull Splittur so far.
The first night, I ran into a one-star seeker soldier and just used the Staff of the Wild, but the next night I found a regular soldier. It took a bit to get used to the movement, and I need to remember to use the poke for a quicker stagger, but I like the movement overall. It can still block a bit, but the bubble is a must for my current armor.
Thankfully, I was able to use the terrain and outlast the soldier and continued my mining operations in the Mistlands.
The tower still needs so many materials, and I need my metal walls...
Thanks for watching.
