Hello friends, welcome back to Roaming Sarathi!
In this vlog, I set off from Mumbai towards the beautiful Konkan coast via NH66 — a peaceful and scenic drive with lots to explore.
Trip Details (Day-1):
Left Mumbai at 5 AM.
First tea break at Nagothane
Stopped for breakfast near the Kashedi Tunnel
Reached Ganpatipule, visited the temple, and had lunch at MTDC’s Tarang Restaurant
Then took the stunning coastal route via Aare-Ware road to Ratnagiri
Ended the day with a visit to Ratnadurg Fort and stayed overnight at Sangam Regency near Ratnagiri Railway Station
Road Update:
Mumbai to Veer Junction (NH66): Road is patchy with rough stretches and lots of speed breakers
Veer to Sangameshwar: Smooth four-lane highway, great for driving
Sangameshwar to Ganpatipule (via State Highway): Road is in very good condition and made for an enjoyable drive
This vlog isn’t just about driving — it’s got scenic ghats, coastal curves, calm villages, a bit of history, and relaxed travel vibes. If you have road trips, this Konkan journey is definitely worth watching.
