Sock knitting on the knitting machine can save a lot of time. This video shows the basic technique of cuff-down socks with short-row heel and toe. There are 2 side seams to be hand sewn, and ribbing cuff by hand or machine ribbing. LK150 knitting machine is easier to learn than the standard gauge machine because of the larger needles.
There are tons of ways to knit a pair of socks and they can get confusing and frustrating. I try to have a basic and reliable method to knit simple and practical socks quickly. The best pair is not the perfect pair, but the socks you can wear on cold days. Have fun knitting.
Part 2 will be seaming the sides and knitting the cuff ribbing.
