Targeting 3D Tele-Immersion (TI) applilcations (https://vcl.iti.gr/research-area/tele..., a novel end-to-end system for the fast reconstruction of human actor performances into 3D mesh sequences is proposed, using the input from a small set of consumer-grade RGB-Depth sensors.
Three-dimensional TI applications, based on the idea of generating realistic 3D representations of users in real-time and placing them inside shared simulated spaces, could support realistic communications among geographically distributed users.
