✨ Interior Detailing
The build begins with the B-17’s interior, carefully enhanced using photo-etched parts, 3D decals, and scratch-built wiring. Every small element adds to the realism, creating a cockpit that captures the complexity of the Flying Fortress.

🛠️ Fuselage and Painting
The fuselage receives primer, preshading, and smooth coats of the main colors. Camouflage lines are achieved with Blue Tac for a soft, natural transition. Weathering effects with washes, oils, and streaking bring the aircraft to life, showing the wear and tear of real combat missions.

🚛 Diorama Construction
A detailed diorama is built on a styrofoam base, textured, painted, and weathered to resemble an airfield. Mud, static grass, and a Tamiya fuel truck add atmosphere, while maintenance workers and accessories such as ladders and workbenches complete the scene.

🧑‍✈️ Figures and Accessories
Both 3D printed and traditional model figures are prepared and painted, adding character and storytelling to the diorama. From crew members to maintenance staff, each figure helps capture the daily life around a B-17 on the ground.
