Hello everyone! We're reviewing one of the most frustrating, yet rewarding, vehicles in War Thunder: the Japanese *Type 16* wheeled tank destroyer. The Type 16 is a "monster" when fully spaded [00:01:53], but its legendary status as an end-of-the-line vehicle meant the stock grind was an absolute *nightmare* [00:02:06] that took 148 battles to complete.

Why the Type 16 is UNBALANCED:
*The Stock Grind:* At 9.7 BR, you start with only HEAT-FS [00:03:15] against chemically protected foes, and you lack the insane mobility that defines this vehicle until you unlock the engine and tire upgrades [00:06:12].
*Spaded Power:* Once fully upgraded, the *Type 16* is a powerhouse thanks to its ridiculous mobility, the 8.7-second reload on its 105mm gun [00:04:08], and the powerful *Type 93 APFSDS* round.
*Scout Perks:* It gets *Gen 3 Thermals* [00:04:33] and a Law Warning Receiver (LWR) [00:03:36], making it an incredible scouting and anti-helicopter platform.
*The Lineup Problem:* The biggest issue for Japan is the complete lack of a *9.7 BR lineup* [00:01:01], forcing you to up-tier 9.3s or jump straight to top tier.
