This second part of my Samelena has actually been a year in the making! I had the whole story planned, at some point I even vidded it, but then I ended up being dissapointed since I didn't end it the way it should end. This video should be easy to follow, but just for clarifications: Sam is free of Gadreel's influence, but despite his love for Elena and the want to stay with her, he feels guilty for surviving and not closing the gates of hell. He also sees Dean's growing affection for Elena, which his brother tries hard to hide. As a result, Sam becomes distant from his girfriend and jealous. Then Dean gets the mark and after going on a rampage, he finally attacks Elena when he's alone with her. Luckily for her, Sam gets back just in time and there's Castiel who drags Dean away. Dean feels awful and he thinks he can atone by killing Metatron, but he fails and is killed himself. In his last moment he tries to confess to Sam his love for Elena but died before he manages to. Still, Sam knows the truth and forgives his brother. When Dean is gone, being demonic and all, Sam drives Elena away, suspecting she might have feelings for his brother as well. She loves Sam, but Sam doesn't believe it as is blinded by his jealously and the duty he has to find his brother and help him. Then he's captured and Elena finds Dean, asking him to help Sam. When they arrive at the place, it's too late - Sam managed to rescue himself. He just walks right past them, sure that Elena is in love with Dean and doesn't pursue it because she doesn't want to hurt Sam. Dean causes an accident in which Elena is badly hurt and there's nothing the doctors can do. Sam makes a deal with a crossroads demon in exchange for Elena's life. Dean can't accept this decision, knowing that his brother keeps sacrificing his own happiness for him and that the accident was his fault, not Sam's, so Dean decides to close the gates of hell himself and he succeeds. As a result, Dean dies and Sam is released from his deal with the demon since all of them are sucked back into hell. Sam finally understands that Elena loves only him and Dean was like a brother to her - hence her concern. He is hurt by Dean's sacrifice, but on some level he understands why and he knows he has to let Dean go and start real, happy life with the woman he loves.
