The Native Instruments Maschine Studio is an all in one beat and groove production center that pairs beautifully with any DAW as well as with Native Instruments native Maschine software.

It is, effectively, an all in one music production solution. The Native Instruments Maschine Studio has a ton of potential in the studio from triggering basic electronic and acoustic drum sounds all the way up to composing and mixing an entire album.

Native Instruments took inspiration from more traditional MIDI Production Centers (MPCs) and turned the functionality up to 11.

We can break the surface down into different areas. At the top of the unit are controls for your entire session. You can browse through all of the preloaded drum sounds and sample packs.

In addition to the Native Instruments presets, you can also fly in sounds and packs from other sources such as East West. The top row of buttons brings up your loaded kits onto the beat pad.

The dual full color screens provide tons of information and allow you to create custom kits from all of your loaded sounds regardless of where you acquired them.

There is also a dedicated volume knob to the right and mix control knobs beneath the screens for each channel.

To the left of the beat pad there are performance functions such as step mode, tap tempo, macros, and note repeat.

There are eight groups, and the Maschine Studio allows independent control for each one. It also supports Komplete Kontrol keyboards for a complete, fully integrated control experience.

Seperate controls next to the main beat pads make it easy to trigger patterns, scenes, and solos.

To the right of the beat pad there are edit buttons, and nice, big, clicky jog wheel which makes navigating the Native Instruments Maschine Studio nothing short of perfection.

The Native Instruments Maschine Studio is geared for both performance and production, making it incredibly versatile. Mix with it in the studio and then take it with you to your gigs and perform live.

Native Instruments really has thought everything out and it is incredibly intuitive to learn and use.
