☀️Oiler duties and responsibilities

A) Performs engine room watch with the Engineers
B) Cleans and maintains the Engine Room
C) Helps maintains and repair engine
D) Repairs and welds deck and engine part
E) Assists the First Engineer in the management and maintenance of the engine room and its machinery
F) Recommend to the First Engineer the work allocation for each engineering personnel
G) Records all work done at the Engine Department
H) Ensure that all accessories and tools under his care are in good running condition
I) Performs navigational and anchor watch
J)  Familiarizes himself with the handling of various machinery and equipment parts as well as the maintenance of tanks and pipe valves
K) Reports to his superior office any defect found in any machinery and equipment under his custody
L) Perform such other functions as may be assigned by his superiors
