2.【 About build 】
Patch 3.27 added a new Unique Shield called [Bitter Instinct] as a support for Retaliation skills.
I've decided to use it with [Crushing Fist] and [The Impaler] keystone to get huge impales. Result is a build that can 1-shot Ubers under the right conditions.

To get damage as high as possible I'm using [Facebreaker] gloves and stacking flat phys dmg. I'm also using [Binds of Bloody Vangenca] and [Cruel Retort] to guarantee crits with over 700% Crit Multi.
To consume impales I use [Storm Brand], but it's not even needed most of the time since [Tempest Shield] proc and [UUlgraft]'s damage will also consume them.

For mapping [Crushing Fist] has a decent clear by itself, but I'm also running [Hinekora, Death's Fury] for huge pops.

3.【 Q&A 】
Q: Why Impale and not Bleed/Ignite?
A: [Crushing Fist] has a 80% penalty for Ailments.

Q: Why no Warcries?
A: [Crushing Fist] cannot be exerted - like all Retaliation skills. This information is not on the gem :(

Q: Are Grafts/Bloodlines required for the build to work?
A: No. Grafts provide damage, Chaos Bloodline provides defenses, but none of them are required. 3.27 gives a lot of generic power to most builds.

Q: Can it handle T17?
A: Yes. Build is very tanky and immune to most ailments and slows (like petrification). The only scary damage type is Phys DOT because of Abyssus.

Q: Does it have to be a Chieftain?
A: No. I've decided to play Chieftain to get better clear and easier resistance capping. Gladiator has much better synergy with block/retaliation and Champion has better Impale synergy. In case of both Gladiator and Champion build might work better without [The Impaler] keystone.

Q: Won't using [Shield Charge] bricking your impale damage due to [The Impaler]?
A: In theory yes, but [Crushing Fist] has a 100% chance to hit, which means I don't need any Accuracy Rating.
This also means that [Shield Charge] won't hit most of the time. But you still need to be careful.
You can use mirrored rings with negative Accuracy Rating if you really want to be sure the ST will miss.
