Senhoa’s Fifth Anniversary Black Tie Gala Presented by Ziba Beauty and the Shukar Project Raises Awareness and $41,267 for the Foundation
Artesia, CA (December 11, 2015) – On Friday, December 4th, Royal Restaurant & Banquet was transformed into a beautiful display of white and gold. Guests decked out in gorgeous gowns and suits came dressed to the nines ready to sparkle, but more importantly, to give. Senhoa raised $41,267 in donations and an additional $3,895 in jewelry sales.
On display for purchase were beautiful jewelry and the newly launched hair accessories by Kat & George for Senhoa. Survivors of modern-day slavery made all of the pieces. The gala creatively showcased a fashion installation curated by Andrew Phillip Nguyen where models (from Image Powerhouse and Otto Models) wearing gowns by Berenice Gonzalez donned Senhoa accessories. Just as beautiful and powerful in a different way was a DIY door that sat prominently at the entrance. Near each of the door’s windows were displayed gifting tags conveying what each donation amount would provide for, so guests could choose to which expense they wanted to donate. From $23-$600 guests were able to contribute to such items as uniforms and school programs in the most transparent way. Besides the donated gifts provided by Swarovski, Hennessy, Charity Lives, Charity Grow and Ayers Hotel; there were a large number of sponsors who dedicated services and products to help make the event truly successful.
