President Macron and Crown Prince Haakon attend wreath laying ceremony in Oslo

Описание: French President Emmanuel Macron and Crown Prince Haakon of Norway attended a wreath laying ceremony at Normandieplassen in Oslo on Tuesday morning.

The President laid flowers at the ‘Orlogsgast’ monument, which honors all those who served in the joint naval forces during the Danish era from 1510–1814, and in the Royal Norwegian Navy from 1814–1945.

It is 41 years since a French head of state last paid an official visit to Norway -- President Mitterrand in 1984.

Macron later departed for The Hague where he is attending a NATO summit.
