The grotesque lord of the castle clung to his towering throne-monster, screeching and lashing out while Leon searched for an opening. He tried to end it quickly with the golden egg he’d been saving, but his first throws missed their mark, splattering uselessly against the stone and chitin. Forced into a drawn-out fight, Leon dodged acid, unloaded round after round, and finally landed the perfect shot. The golden egg struck true, weakening Salazar enough for Leon to finish him off in a burst of gunfire. The twisted noble let out a final shriek before collapsing into a heap of flesh and bone.

With the castle nightmare behind him, Leon pushed forward into the island fortress—an industrial stronghold crawling with heavily armed soldiers infected by Las Plagas. The enemies were faster, smarter, and far more dangerous than the villagers he’d faced before. Fighting through searchlights, gunfire, and ambushes, Leon forced his way deeper into the compound until he reached a cold, sterile laboratory.

Inside, he encountered something far worse than the soldiers: a towering, pale creature that refused to die. The monster’s limbs stretched and snapped back into place as it advanced, its breathing ragged and unnatural. Realizing it was some kind of regenerating bio-weapon, Leon carefully navigated the lab, scavenging supplies and searching for a way forward. Eventually, he found the keycard to a nearby holding cell.

Inside the cell, he found Ashley once again. Shaken but relieved, she joined him, and the two continued their escape through the facility. The corridors were packed with traps, enemies, and the ever-present threat of the parasite inside them. Just as it seemed they might finally break free, the true mastermind revealed himself.

Osmund Saddler emerged, calm and imposing, and effortlessly took Ashley back under his control. Leon was left standing alone as the cult leader vanished with her, the stakes higher than ever. Now, with time running out, Leon presses forward into the heart of the island—where an old rival, Krauser, waits for a final, deadly confrontation.
