on this day, louise-élisabeth died alone and forgotten by all at the age of thirty-two at the luxembourg palace in paris.
neglected by her parents, sent to a foreign country and into a hostile court to marry, locked away, misunderstood, widowed, sent back to france but abandoned by her family, her life was tragic and we can only hope that she found in heaven the happiness that she never found on earth.
she deserves to be remembered for who she really was and not for what others falsely wrote about her.
