Just over 30 years ago, The National Crime Prevention Council and the Ad Council introduced McGruff to the country and began encouraging Americans to "Take a Bite Out of Crime!"
McGruff has been successfully fighting crime ever since. He has provided all of us with the information and motivation needed for them to take an active role in developing safer, stronger and more caring communities.
The latest outdoor PSA encourages adults to know their neighbors, and encourages them to visit www.ncpc.org to learn simple ways to make themselves and their communities safer. A message from the US Department of Justice, The Bureau of Justice Assistance, the Crime Prevention Coalition of America, National Crime Prevention Council and the Ad Council. :)
