Today saw a steam double bill in the North West. SR Merchant Navy Class 35018 British India Line took the Cumbrian Mountain Express Over Shap then Back over the S&C we saw her running a few minutes late near Shap Summit and about 28 Mins Late on the return at Crosby Garrett, she made up for it though with an incredible sound! We also saw LMS Pacific 6201 Princess Elizabeth hauling the Northern Belle, She Put on a great show today which made a change from her being pushed up a hill like we saw last time! The First shot was at Ais gill where she looked absolutely Magnificent and the Second was just past Shap summit at Salterwath, although she wasn't making too much noise the shot was still good as it gave a good side profile of the Princess. All in all a great day out!
Apologies for the crackling sound in some of the shots, the microphone started playing up!
