Back at the beginning of July, 2017 I embarked on a five day trek through Alberta and British Columbia's backcountry towards Mt. Assiniboine. The mountain known as Canada's equivalent of Switzerland's "Matterhorn" was the main reason I was brought to these mountains in the first place.
Along with some new found friends, we trekked through thunderstorms, over muddy landscapes, and more as we made our way to Lake Magog. Follow our journey in three separate parts leading from the trailhead at Sunshine Village to the ending trailhead at Mt. Shark.
