Alumni Big Band 2014 Performs "I'm Beginning To See The Light"

Описание: Today's Feature Friday is the Alumni Big Band of 2014 performing “I’m Beginning To See The Light” (composed by James Ellington, arranged by Mark Taylor), conducted by Prof. Mike Campbell. This tune features special guest Nicky Schrire (SA) on vocals.

In 2012 the Alumni Big Band made their first appearance at the Cape Town Big Band Jazz Festival.
The big band showcases the Alumni from the College of Music, professional musicians as well as Jazz Educators and special guests, many of whom are international musicians.
Our new "Feature Friday" segment for the next few months will be showcasing the CTBBJF's Alumni Big Band performances from 2012 to the present.

The CTBBJF is renowned as one of South Africa's premier showcases of musical youthful talent. In 2020 we had to cancel our festival due to Covid-19. Since then we have moved online (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook) and have many festival highlights in store for you, which will be shared across these three platforms.
