Now a poor pig farmer lived up in Maine
He had only ten pigs but he didn't complain
The dad pig Dan married a sow named Danielle
And named seven of their kids Dan and Danielle as well
But one they named a different name

His name was Gregory Cooper, the kind-hearted pig
Who lived up in Maine

What happens this day will for sure change his fate

Was the farmer's favorite pig
And Gregory Cooper, Gregory Cooper
Was very, very big

Now the farmer had a daughter whose name was LaFwey
I know it's a weird name for a girl, but hey
And LaFwey was in love with a laddie from Spain
Who was coming on over for Valentine's Day
The farmer out of deep deep love for his kin
Called the butcher up to slaughter a pig for dinner
The butcher arrived and the look in his eyes
Told the farmer he wanted to kill Gregory
But the farmer he said no
'Cause that pig is my bro

OK so at this time the phone rings and the farmer, in anticipation of it being LaFwey, scurries on in there to answer the phone. Now the butcher, in all his lengthy slaughtering career, has never seen such a hefty porker as Gregory Cooper. And so he thinks. The farmer's busy. Him and Greg alone. The butcher sees his chance -- and takes it.

The butcher stares the pig he sees
The butcher goes onto his knees
He makes a move the pig's too quick
And finds a groove between the butchers shoes
He runs the meat man falls upon his buns
And Greg he hides beside the slide
The butcher tries to get up from out of the mud
The butcher's furious
Not to mention curious
As to where the porker is and when his fatty thighs will be his
He sees a tail oh dear
Gregory! The fear!
The butcher has a knife and wants to make you into pig ears
The butcher brings the machete down
But just before it makes a sound there is a thump
The farmer killed him

Dead butcher, happy pig
The farmer threw a rock
Hit the butcher in the head
Like Goliath he went plop
